This martingale dogcollar is perfect fortraining as well as everyday wear. The collar is constructed of industrial strength nylon webbing,and is made with premium hardware.

Martingalecollars are also known asGreyhound collarsor humane choke collars. The Martingale Dog Collar was designed for Sighthounds (ie, Greyhounds, Whippets, Italian Greyhounds, Borzoi, Saluki, etc.) because their necks are larger than their head and they can slip out of traditional side release / buckledog collar. Martingalecollars have gained popularity as the preferred training dog collar for allbreeds.

How does a Martingale Collar work?

Martingale Collars have 2 loops. The smaller of the loops is called the “Control Loop”. This is the portion of the collar that is attached to the leash and tightens when it is pulled. The second loop is the adjustment loop. This is the part of the dog collar that you adjust to the right size to fit your dog.

How to Measure:

To measure your dog for a Martingale Collar, use a soft tape measure or a piece of string and take the measurements at point A, B, and C as shown in the drawing. Choose the size that fits within this range to ensure that your collar fits perfectly.

For Sighthounds, the measurement at points A and B may be the same or very similar, this is because their heads are often the same size or smaller than their necks.

For non-sighthounds, these measurements will be different and you will need to choose a collar size that is large enough to slip over the head (point A) but not too large to fit correctly at point B.

In other words, choose the smallest size that will still fit your dog. If your dog has a 15 inch neck, choose the Medium, which is adjustable from 14-18 inches rather than the Large, which is adjustable from 16-20 inches.

This collar is custom made, please allow 7-10 days for your collar to ship.
